An aeroplane runs for some distance on the run way before taking off. Why?

Aeroplane can flu if the lift due to pressure difference on the lower and upper face of the wings of aeroplane is sufficient to overcome the weight of aeroplane. To get the required lift, the aeroplane runs for some distance on the runway before taking off. Due to streamline shape of the wings of the aeroplane , teh velocity of air streams on the upper faace of the wings of aeroplane becomes more than the velocity of air streams on the lower face of the wings of aeroplane. As a result of it, the pressure becomes less on upper face than on lower face of the wings of aeroplane. This pressure difference increases with the increase in speed of aeroplane . when aeroplane running on high way attains sufficient speed, it gets required lift to fly.

Assertion: Aeroplanes are made to run on the runway before take off, so that they acquire the necessary lift. Reason: This is as per Bernoulli's theroem.

Assertion : Aeroplanes are made to run on the runway before take off, so that they acquire the necessary lift. Reason : According to Bernoulli's theorem, as velocity increases pressure decreases and viceversa.

Why does an athelete run before taking a high jump ?

An experiment on the take-off performance of an aeroplane shows that the acceleration varies as shown in the figure-l. 133, and that it takes 12s to take off from a rest position. The distance along the run way covered by the aeroplane is :

An athelete runs a certain distance before taking a long jump . Why ?

An aeroplane needs to reach a speed of 324 km/hr before it can take off. It starts from rest and the engine of aeroplane produces a constant acceleration. If it spends 30 s on the runway then the minimum required runway length is -
