A metal tube and a rod of same length same material and same outer diameter are given same amount of heat. Which will show less expansion and why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

For a metal tube and a rod of same length same meterial and f same outer diameter, the mass or rod is more then that of tube. When same amount of heat is given to metal tube and a rod, then the temperature rise for rod is less, hence expansion for roed is less then that of tube.
