The earth constantly receives heat radiation from the sun and gets warmed up. Why does the earth not get as hot as the sun is ?

Explanation

Due to the large distance of the earth from the sun, it receives only a small part of heat radiation radiated by the sun. Further, there oc curs loss of heat from the surface of the earth due to radiation and convection. Hence the earth cannot becomes as hot as the sun.
