(a) From graph, for stress = `150 xx 10^(6) Nm^(-2)`
the corresponding strain = ` 0.002`
Young's modulus, `Y=(strai n)/(stress) =(150 xx 10^(6))/(0.002)`
`= 7.5 xx 10^(10)Nm^(-2)`
Approximate yield strength will be equal to the maximum stress it can sustain without crossing the elastic limit. therefore, the approximate yield strenght =`300 xx 10^(6) Nm^(-2) = 3 xx 10^(8) Nm^(-2)`.
