A mass of 1 kg is executing SHM which is give by, `x=6.0cos(100t+pi//4)`cm. What is the maximum kinetic energy?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Here, `m=1kg.`
The given equation fo SHM is
`x=6.0cos(100t+pi//4)`
Comparing it with the equation of SHM
`x=asin(omega+phi)`
we have, `a=6.0cm-6//100m`
and `omega 100rads^(-1)`
Max. kinetic energy `=(1)/(2)m(V_(max))^(2)`
`=(1)/(2)m(aomega)^(2)=(1)/(2)xx1xx((6)/(100)xx100)^(2)=1.8J`
