A pendulum clock is placed on the moon, ...

A pendulum clock is placed on the moon, where object weighs only one-sixth as much as on earth. How many times the clock tick out in an actual time of 1 minute, the clock keeps good time on earth.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`T^(')=2pisqrt((l)/((g//6)))=sqrt(6)T`
As `T=1sec,` so `T^(')=sqrt(6)` second.
Thus, the clock will tick in one minute
`=(60)/(sqrt(6))=24.5times`
