Two sound waves, originating from the same source, travel aong difeent paths in air and then meet at a point. If the source vibrates at a frequency of 1.0 kHz and one path is 83 cm longer than the other, what iwill be theture of iterference? The speed of soundin air is `ms^-1`.

Wavelength of sound wave is
`lambda=(upsilon)/(v)=(332)/(1xx10^(3))=5pi`
Phase difference between the waves arriving at point of observation is
`delta=(2pi)/(lambda)Deltax=(2pixx0.83)/(0.332)=5pi`
As, phase difference is an odd integral multiple of `pi`, the interference is destructive.

Two sound waves, originating from the same sound source travel along different paths in air and than meet at a point . The speed of the sound is 330m//s . If the source vibrates at a frequency of 500 Hz and one path is 33 cm longer than the other, then the nature of interference is -

Two sound waves are originating from a single source. They are travelling along different paths in air before meeting at a point. If the source is vibrarting with frequency of 2 kHz and one path is 58 cm longer than the other path then discuss the nature of interference. Speed of sound in air is 336 m/s.

A source and a detector moveaway fro each other, each with a speed of 10 ms^-1 with respect to the grond with no wind. If the detector detects a frequency 1950 Hz of the sound coming from thesorce, what is the original frequency of the source? Speed of sound in air =340 ms^-1 .

A pipe 30.0cm long is open at both end. Which harmonic mode of the ppipe resonates with a 1.1 k Hz source ? If one end of the pipe is closed, what is the frequency of second overtone produced ? Take speed of sound in air as 330ms^(-1)

Calculate the frequency of beats produced in air when two sources of sound are activated, one emitting a wavelength of 32 cm and the other of 32.2 cm. The speed of sound in air is 350 ms^-1 .

Two cars A and B are moving away from each other in opposite directions. Both the cars are moving with a speed of 20 ms^(-1) with respect to the ground. If an observer in car A detects a frequency 2000 Hz of the sound coming from car B, what is the natural frequency of the sound source in car B? (Speed of sound in air = 340 ms^(-1) )

A pipe 30.0 cm long is open at both ends. Which harmonic mode of the pipe resonates with a 1.1kHz source? Will resonance with the same source be observed if one end of the pipe is closed ? Take the speed of sound in air as 330ms^(-1) .

Chanukya was eager to know the time taken by sound to travel the same distance in water and air. So, he set a body on vibration with a frequency of 250 Hz in air and the sound produced bu this is heard at a distance of 175 m. Now if the body is vibrated in water, what is the difference in the time taken by the sound to travel the same distance in water and air ? (The velocity of sound in air and water is 350 ms^(-1) and 1400 ms^(-1) , respectively).
