A bat emits ultrasound sound of frequency `100 kHz` in air. If this sound meets a water surface. What is wavelength of (a) the reflected sound wave (b) the trasmitted sound wave ?
Given speed of sound in air `= 340 m//s` and in water `= 1486 m//s`.

Here, `v=100kHz=10^(5)Hz., upsilon_(a)=340ms^(-1), upsilon_(w)-1486ms^(-1)`
Wavelength of reflected sound, `lambda_(a)=(upsilon_(a))/(v)=(340)/(10^(5))=3.4xx10^(-3)m`
Wavelength of transmitted sound, `lambda_(w)=(upsilon_(s))/(v)=(1486)/(10^(5))=1.486xx10^(-2)m`
