A particle executes SHM of amplitude 20cm and time period 2s. What is the minimum time required for the particle to move between two points 10cm on either side of the mean position?

Here, `A=51.3^(@),T=2s`
Let the time for the particle executing SHM be noted from the mean position. The displacement of the particla at time t is
`y=Asinomegat=Asin((2pi)/(T))t`
when `y=10cm, ` then, `10-20sin((2pi)/(2))t`
or `sinpit=(1)/(2)=sin((pi)/(6))`
or `pit=pi//6 or t=(1)/(6)s`
Time taken by the particle to move between two points 10 cm on either side oof the mean position is `=2xxt=2xx1//6=(1//3)s`
