Write down the equation for a wave propa...

Write down the equation for a wave propagating with velocity `330m//s` and having frequency 110Hz. The amplitude is 0.05m.`

Text Solution

Here, `upsilon330m//s, v=110Hz,`
`:. lambda=(upsilon)/(v)=(330)/(110)=3m, ` Also,` r=0.05m. `
The equation may be written as
`y=rsin[{(2pi)/(lambda)upsilont+-(2pi)/(lambda)x}+-phi_(0)]`
`y=0.05[2pi(110t+-(x)/(3))+-phi_(0)]`
where ,` phi_(0)` is initial phase of the wave.
