State Biot Savart's law. A current I flows in a conductor placed perpendicular to the plane of paper. Indicate the direction of the magnetic field due to a small element `dvecl` at a point P at a distance `vecr` from the element as shown in figure.

According to Biot-Savart's law, the magnitude of the magnetic field induction at a point P, due to current element of length `dl`, carrying current I, at a distance r from the element is given by
`|dvecB|=(mu_0)/(4pi)(Idlsintheta)/(r^2)=(mu_0)/(4pi)(I|dveclxxvecr|)/(r^3)`
The direction of `dvecB` is perpendicular to the plane containing `dvecl` and `vecr` and is directed along x-axis, which is given by Right Hand Rule.
