A capacitor of `10 mu F` is connected to a resistance of `2.2 xx 10^(5) ohm` in series. What is time constant of the circuit? Can oscillations of charge/current be produced in this circuit ?

Here, `C = 10 mu F = 10 xx 10^(-6) F = 10^(-5) F`
`R = 2.2 xx 10^(5) Omega`
`pi = RC = 2.2 xx 10^(5) xx 10^(-5) = 2.2 s`
No oscillations of charge/current can be produced in an R.C circuit.
