A capacitor allow a.c. to pass through. ...

A capacitor allow a.c. to pass through. Why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The capacitative reactance is given by `X_(C ) = (1)/(omega C) = (1)/(omega C) = (1)/(2 pi v C)`
For a.c. , `v != 0 :. X_(C ) != oo`
Hence a condenser does not block a.c. It allows a.c. to pass through.
