Here Assertion is ture but Reason is false because when magnet is falling towards to ring, the induced current is set up in the ring due to change in magnetic flux linked with ring. If will oppose the magnetic flux linked with ring. It will be so if the direction of induced current is anticlockwise in the ring. This will set up an induced north polartiy on the face of ring towards `N` pole of falling magnet. A force of repulsion will act on falling magnet. Due to it, the magnet falls with acceleration less than g. Choice (c ) is correct.
