Hoe does magnifying power change with change in length of tube for a given microscope ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In case of a microscope, magnifying power
`|m| = (v_(0))/(u_(0)) xx (d)/(u_(e))`, where `L = v_(0) + u_(e)`
When `L` is increased, `u_(e)` increases as `v_(0)` is fixed
`:. |m|` will decrease.
