From`I = I_(1) + I_(2) + 2sqrt(I_(1)I_(2)) cos phi`
if `I_(1) + I_(2) = I_(0)`, then
`I = I_(0) + I_(0) + 2 I_(0) cos phi = 2 I_(0)(1 + cos phi)`
`= 4 I_(0) cos^(2) phi//2`
When path difference is `lambda, phi = 2 pi`
`I = 4 I_(0) cos^(2) pi = 4 I_(0) = K`
(i) When path difference `= lambda//4, phi = (2pi)/(4) = pi//2`
`I = 4 I_(0) cos^(2) pi//4 = 4 I_(0)((1)/(sqrt(2)))^(2) = 2 I_(0) = (K)/(2)`
(ii) When path difference `= lambda//3, phi = 2 pi//3`
`I = 4 I_(0) cos^(2)(2 pi//3) = 4 I_(0)((1)/(2))^(2) = I_(0) = (K)/(4)`
(iii) When path difference `= (lambda)/(2), phi = pi`
`I = 4 I_(0) cos^(2) pi//2 = 0`
