An unsymmeterical double convex thin len...

An unsymmeterical double convex thin lens forms the image of a point object on its axis. Will the position of the image change if the lens is reversed ?

No, the position of image will not change if the lens is reversed. This is because in the lens maker's formula :
`(1)/(v) - (1)/(u) = (1)/(f) = (mu - 1)((1)/(R_(1)) - (1)/(R_(2))) = -(mu - 1)((1)/(R_(2)) - (1)/(R_(1)))`
i.e., on reversing the lens, values of `R_(1) and R_(2)` are reversed and so are their signs. Hence, for given `u` (position of pbject), position of image `(v)` remains unaffected.
