What mode of communication is employed for transmission of Tv signals?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The T.V. signals have the frequencies range
54 Mhz to 890 MHz. These waves neither
follow the curvature of the earth nor get reflected
by ionosphere. Therefore, their communication
via surface wave or sky wave is not possible.
The reception of T.V. signals is possible either
(i) by using communication satellite which
reflects the T.V. signals to earth or (ii) by using
tall receiver antennas which may directly
intercept the signals coming from transmitter
antennas, i.e. by using line of sight mode.
