The carrier frequency of a station is 50...

The carrier frequency of a station is `50 MHz`. A resistor of `10 k omega` and a capacitor of `10 pF` are available in the circuit . Is it good enough for detection ?

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
Yes

Here , `RC = 10^(4) xx 10^(-11) = 10^(-7 s)`
` (1)/( v_( c )) = (1)/( 50 xx 10^(6)) = 2 xx 10^(-8 s)`
As ` (1)/( v_( c )) lt RC` ,
therefore , the circuit is good enough for detection.
