An `AM` transmitter records an antenna current of `10.5 A`. The antenna current drops to `10 A` when only carrier is transmitted . What is the percentage modulation ?

Here , `I_(t) = 10.5 A and I_( c ) = 10 A , mu = ?`
As ` sqrt ( 1 + (mu^(2))/(2)) = (I_(t))/(I_( c)) = ( 10.5)/( 10) = ( 21)/( 20)`
`:. 1 + (mu^(2))/(2) = ( 441)/(400) =1 + (41)/( 400)`
`mu^(2) = ( 82)/( 400) = 0.205`
` mu = sqrt( 0.205) = 0.453 = 45.3%`
