A broadcast `AM` transmitter radiates `20 kW` of carrier power . What will be radiated power at `25%` modulation ?

The correct Answer is:
20.6 kW

Here , `P_( c ) = 20 kW , mu = ( 25)/(100) = (1)/(4)`
`P_(t) = ?`
From ` P_(t) = P_( c ) ( 1 + (mu^(2))/(2))`
`= 20 [ 1 + ((1 //4)^(2))/(2)] = 20 ( 1 + (1)/(32))`
` = 20 xx ( 33)/(32) kW = (165)/(8) kW = 20.6 kW`
