A radio set can be tuned to any station in the frequency range ` 6 MHz` band. What is the corresponding wavelength band of radio set ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
25 m to 50 m band

For `v = 6 MHz, lambda = ( c )/( v) = ( 3 xx 10^(8))/(6 xx 10^(6)) = 50 m`
For ` v = 12 MHz , lambda = ( 3 xx 10^(8))/( 12 xx 10^(6)) = 25 m`
Thus the corresponding wave length band is `25 m "to" 50 m` band.
