An 'antenna' is:...

An 'antenna' is:

A

inductive

B

capacitive

C

resistive above its resonant frequency

D

resistive at resonant frequency

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

Antenna is a turned L-C oscillator . At resonant frequency their effective impedance `(omega L - 1 /(omega C))` becomes zero and in the L-C-R circuit only R is effective. Thus antenna is resistance at resonant frequency .
