For a gas the differce between the two specific heat is `4150 J//kg K`. What is the specific heat at constant volume of gas if the ratio of sepcific heat is 1.4

A

8475

B

5186

C

1660

D

10375

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

`C_(p)-C_(V)=R and C_(p)//C_(V)=1.4`
`therefore C_(p)=1.4C_(V) " "therefore 1.4C_(V)-C_(V)=R`
`therefore0.4C_(V)=R`
`C_(V)=(4150)/(0.4)=(41500)/(4)`
`=10375`
