The volume of a rectangular parallelopiped is 432 cc. If it is divided into two cubes of equal volume, then find the length of each side of the cubes.

Since the volumes of the two cubes are equal, so their length of sides will also be equal. Let the length of each side of the cubes be a cm. `therfore ` the volume of each cube = `a^3 " cc" `
As per question, ` 2a^3 = 432 or, a^3 = 216 = 6^3 rArr a = 6 `
Hence the length of each side of the two equal cubes is 6 cm.
