Let the thickness of the wooden piece by x metres.
Its volume = 1.104 cu-metres.
As per question, `2.3 xx 0.75 xx x=1.104`
`rArr x = 1.104/(2.3 xx 0.75)=(10xx 1104 xx100)/(23 xx 75 xx1000)= 0.64`
`:.` the thickness of the wooden piece = 0.64m.
Let the number of such piece of wood be y.
`:. 2.3 xx 0.75 xx 0.04 xx y=2.3 xx 0.75xx 0.64`
`rArr y= (2.3 xx0.75 xx 0.64)/(2.3xx0.75xx0.04)= 16`
Hence the required number of piece of wood = 16`.
