The frequency distribution of the degre ...

The frequency distribution of the degre of the drugs of 110 patients to be cured are given below : Here the number of patients being cured by taking 20 tablets and the number of patients being cured by taking 32 tablets are unknown. But it is known that the number of tablets required to be cured per patient is 20 tablets. Find the two unknown frequencies.

Let the unknown frequencies be `f_(1) and f_(2)` . Also , let the origin of the variable (here tablets) be 20 and the unit of degree be 4, the class length , then
`u=(x-20)/(4) and x=20+4baru`

The total frequency =110, `therefore 110=90+f_(1)+f_(2) ` or, `f_(1)+f_(2)=20.......(i)`
Also, the number of average tablets =20
`therefore 20=20+4. baru` or `,o=4*((-42+3f_(2))/(110))`
or `, -42+3f_(2)=0` or , `3f_(2)=42 ` or , `f_(2)=(42)/(3)=14`
`therefore ` from (1), we get , `f_(1)+14 =20` or `f_(1)=20-14=6`
`therefore ` the known two frequency are 6 and 14.
