An elephant and a matchbox fall from a height of 200m. If they are in state of free fall, which of them will reach the ground first and why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Both will reach the ground at the same time. Since they are in a state of free fall, there is no resistive force acting on them and the only force acting is the force of gravity. The acceleration due to gravity is same for all the bodies irrespective of the mass of the body.
