Explanation

In the method of seperation, Wilfley table is made by fixing narrow and thin wooden riffles on inclined surface. The table is kept vibrating continuously. Powdered ore obtained form lumps of the ore using abll mill is poured on the table, a strea of water is also realsed from the upper side. Ass a results, the lighter gangue particels are carried away along with the following water while the heavier particles in which particles in which proportion of minierals is more and proportion of gangue is less, are blocked by the wooden riffles and get collected on the slits between them.
