Glucose `to underset("glycolysis")("Pyruvic acid") to ` Acetyl -CoA `to underset("Kreb's cycle")(CO_(2) + H_(2)O) + `Energy
(i) Process of glycolysis occurs in cytoplasm.
(ii) A molecule of glucose is oxidized step in the process and two molecules of each i.e. pyruvic acid, ATP , `NADH_(2)` and water are formed.
(iii) Molecules of pyruvic acid formed in this process are converted into molecules of Acetyl-Coenzyme A.
(iv) Two molecules of `NADH_(2)` and two molecules of `CO_(2)` are released during the process.
