Both molecules of acetyl-CoA produced from pyruvic acid (from glycolysis) enter the mitochondria .
(ii) Cyclic chain of reaction called as tricarboxylic acid cycle is operated on it in the mitochondria .
(iii) Acetyl part of acetyl -CoA is completely oxidized through this cyclical process and molecules of `CO_(2), H_(2), NADH_(2), FADH_(2)` are formed .
(iv) Net reaction of Kreb's cycle.
Acetyl-CoA + `3NAD^(+) + to 2CO_(2) + CoA + 3(NADH+H^(+)) `
`FAD+GDP + Pi+ 3H_(2)O " " FADH_(2)+GTP)`
