Explanation

(i) According to evolution of animals, these are the first true terrestrial animals with creeping movement.
(ii) They creep on land as their body cannot be lifted up.
(iii) They are cold blooded (Poikilotherrns) animals.
(iv) The skin is dry and scaly.
(v) External ear is absent.
(vi) They are oviparous.
(vii) Digits are provided with claws. e.g. lizard, crocodile, tortoise, snake, etc.
