A parallel plate capacitor with air in between the plates has a capacitance of `8 pF`. The separation between the plates is now reduced to half and the space between them is filled with a medium of dielectric constant 5.
Calculate the value of capacitance in the second case.

Here, capacitance of the capacitor with air inbetween the plates,
`C_(0) = (in_(0) A)/(d) = 8 pF`
When space between the plates is reduced to half and the space is filled with dielectric of constant K = 5, the new capacitance becomes
`C = (K in_(0)A)/(d//2) = 2K ((in_(0)A)/(d))`
`= 2xx5xx8 = 80 pF`
