If 10 J of work is to be done in moving a charge of `-200C from A to B, which of the two points is at higher potential ? What is the potential difference ?

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
`A ; -0.15V`

Here, `W_(AB) = 10J, q = -200C`
`V_(B) - V_(A) = ?`
As `W_(AB) = q(V_(B) - V_(A))`
`:. V_(B) - V_(A) = (W_(AB))/(q) = (10)/(-200) = -0.05V`
