Calculate the charges which will flow i...

Calculate the charges which will flow in sections 1 and 2 in Fig, why key `K` is pressed.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
`EC_(1) ; (EC_(1) C_(2))/(C_(1) + C_(2))`

IN fig. when key `K` is pressed,
`Q_(1) = EC_(1)`
As `C_(1)` & `C_(2)` are in series
`:. (1)/(C_(s)) = (1)/(C_(1)) + (1)/(C_(2)) = (C_(2) + C_(1))/(C_(1) C_(2))`
`C_(s) = (C_(1) C_(2))/(C_(1) + C_(2)) :. Q_(2) = EC_(3) = (EC_(1) C_(2))/(C_(1) C_(2))`
`C_(s) = (C_(1) C_(2))/(C_(1) + C_(2)) :. Q_(2) = EC_(s) = (EC_(1) C_(2))/(C_(1) + C_(2))`
