Here, three resistance each of value 6 R are in parallel and resistance R is in series between A and B. The equivalent circuit is shown in figure.
The effective resistance of three resistances in parallel, `1/R = (1)/(6R) + (1)/(6R) +(1)/(6R) = (1)/(2R)`
`:. R_(p) = 2R`
Total resistance between A and B `= 2 R + R= 3R`
