Why are copper wires used as connected wires ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The electrical conductivity of copper is next only to silver which is costly. Therefore, it conducts the current without offering much resistance. The copper being diamagnetic* material does not get magnetised due to current through it and hence does not disturb the current in the circuit.
