Of metals and alloys, which has greater value of temperature co-efficient of resistance ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The value of temperature co-efficient of resistance `(alpha)` is more for metals than for alloys. For example, in case of copper, `alpha = 4 xx 10^(-3).^(@)C^(-1)` and for manganin, `alpha = 15 xx 10^(-6).^(@)C^(-1)`.
