Why are the connecting resistors in a meter bridge made of thick copper strips ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The thick copper strips are used for connecting resistors as they offer minimum resistance and hence avoid error due to end resistance. The same (i.e., error due to end resistance) has not been taken into account in the bridge formula
