`C-C` bond length in benzene is

A

`1.39 Å`

B

`1.54 Å`

C

`1,34 Å`

D

Different in different bonds

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

`C-C` bond length is benzene to act as Lewis acid since they are electron defiecient in nature. However cations such as `Na^(+).K^(+)` etc. (inert gas configuration) have a very little tendency to accept eletrons. Therefore they do not act as Lewis acids in Fridel-Crafts reaction.
