An isolated metallic conductor is positi...

An isolated metallic conductor is positively charged. Did its mass increase, decrease or remain the same? How will the mass of the conductor change if it is negatively charged?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Since the conductor is positively charged, electrons have been removed from it. So mass of the conductor has decreased. Electrons are to be added to the conductor to charge it negatively. So mass of the conductor will increase.
