The instantaneous voltage from an ac source is given by e=200sin 314t volt. Find the rms voltage .What is the frequency of the source?

Peak voltage=200 V
Then, rms voltage =`200/sqrt2`=141.4 V
Angular frequency, `omega`=314 Hz
`therefore` The frequency of the source =`omega/(2pi)=314/(2times3.14)=50Hz`
