If two inputs of a NAND gate are joined,...

If two inputs of a NAND gate are joined, what type of a gate is formed?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If joining of two inputs implies that the inputs are short circuited then the two inputs are generally same.
If the input be A, then the output of the NAND gate,
Y = `bar(A.A) = bar(A)`
Hence, in this case a NOT gate is formed.
