In the first case, `(1)/(v)+(1)/(u)=(1)/(f)`
`therefore (1)/(u_(1))=(1)/(f)-(1)/(v_(1))=(1)/(10)-(1)/(25//3)=(1)/(10)-(3)/(25)`
`therefore (1)/(u_(1))= - (1)/(50) therefore u_(1)= -50 cm`

`therefore (1)/(u_(2))=(1)/(10)-(1)/((50//7))=(1)/(10)-(7)/(50)`
`=(-2)/(50)= -(1)/(25)`
