Two pulses are travelling towards each other.

After 2s, each pulse will travel a distance `2xx2 = 4cm` and they will meet in mutually opposite phases and the amplitude of the resultant wave becomes zero. Hence the string will become straight. Hence its P.E.= 0. It has only K.E.
