How many `500 kHz` waves can be on a `10km` transmission line simultaneously?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let `lambda` be the wavelength of `500kHz` signal. Then, `lambda=(c )/(f)=(3.0xx10^(8))/(5.0xx10^(5))m=600m`
The number of waves on the line can be found from,
`n=(d)/(lambda)=(10xx10^(3))/(600)=16.67`
