A particle is thrown with a velocity 10 ...

A particle is thrown with a velocity `10 m//s` and its horizontal range is `5 m`. Find angle/angles of the projection.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`R = (u^(2))/(g) sin 2theta`
`5 - ((10)^(2))/(10) = sin 2 theta rArr 2 theta = (1)/(2) = sin 30^(@)`
`2 theta = 30^(@) rArr theta = 15^(@)`
Another angle of projection will be `90 - theta = 75^(@)`.
Angles of projection: `15^(@)` and `75^(@)`.
