`(M)/(L)` = mass per unit length
From `F = Ma rArr a = (F)/(M)`
Tension, `T = (M)/(L) (L-x)a`
`T = (M)/(L)(L-x) (F)/(M) = (F)/(L) (L-x)`
Stress `= (T)/(A) = (F)/(A) (1 - (x)/(L))`
where tension `T` adn area `A` must be perpendicular for tensilie stress.
