A particles is moving along a circular path of radius 5 m , moving with a uniform speed of `5ms^(-1)` . What will be the avetage acceleration, Whan the particle completes half revolution?

A

zero

B

`10pims^(-2)`

C

`pi//ms^(-2)`

D

None of these

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
d

The change in velocity ,when the particle completes half the revolution is given by
`Deltav =5m//s-(-5m//s)=10m//s `
now , the time taken to complete half the revolution is given by `t=(pir)/(v)=pi`
So,the average acceleration `=(Deltav)/(t)=(10)/(pi)m//s ^(2)`
