(i) "Rate"_1=k[A]^x` (ii) "Rate"_2= k [1/2A]^x`
Dividing (i) by (ii), `"Rate"_2/("Rate"_1)=(k[1/2A]^x)/(k[A]^x)`
`1/2=(1/2)^x`
Hence, x = 1
